Financial facts
The Human Care group comprises the parent company and four operating subsidiaries, which are based in Sweden, USA, Canada, and Australia. During the period 2007-2008, Human Care made two acquisitions on the North American market, Barton Medical (Lifts, Transport Chairs and Lowbeds), and in the Rollators product (Dana Douglas Inc.). Also Kalea Specialhissar AB, Human Care Norge AS, and Fastighetsbolaget Hissen AB has been divested.
Net turnover
Net turnover has risen from SEK 104.1 million in 2002 to SEK 229,4 million in 2010, achieved primarily through acquisitions and expanding the product areas.
Operating profit
Since its formation in 1993, the Human Care group has recorded an operating profit every financial year (excluding write-downs).
In 2009 a write down of goodwill was made (20.0 MSEK) resulting in a negative operating profit in that year, and in 2010 a patent was written off (17.8 MSEK)
